Neglect

I'm still trying to decide whether to keep going with this sadly neglected blog. Seems like my desire to write here has waned considerably, but sometimes I get the urge to post. We shall see...I'm paid up through the end of August so I plan on making a decision soon. Right now, I'm honestly leaning towards shutting down....Flickr & Twitter and the dreaded Facebook take up too much of my free time as it is, and I don't feel all that motivated to write in this format much anymore. Hmmmm.

For now, I can tell you I've been knitting in between the insanity that is work...we're in our busiest season, so things have been a bit hectic. Today I'm enjoying a day off in an effort to preserve my sanity. Anyway...the knitting. Lots of shawls, to be worn bandit-style, of course, as is the knitting rage these days.

And there were also some socks in there somewhere, which I now realize I have yet to photograph. Whoops.

There have also been some developments on the mystery sinus ailment front...in case you missed my constant whining about being sick with various sinus & respiratory ailments over the past 4 or 5 years on this here blog, I've been dealing with some allergy & sinus stuff that seems to get progressively worse as time goes on. After a recent bout of misery, a CT scan revealed that one side of my sinuses are almost completely blocked and will not drain, causing pain, recurring infections, and lots of really gross stuff I won't go into graphic detail about. I'm seeing an ENT doc today to see where we go from here, right now, looks like surgery might be the best treatment.

I just want them to fix me!

After my trip to the doc, I plan on coming home to enjoy the rest of the gorgeous day off...

Good luck with the sinus thing...I had something rather similar in my early teen years...dare I say it? It wasn't a permanent solution, back in my day...but it's been decades and I only get mild infections now vs the "KILL ME" ones I used to get? Moving out of LA helped enormously, of course...

Hi. Stumbled on your blog while doing some late-night research.
I have had the CT Scan and been presented with two options:

endoscopic sinus surgery or balloon sinuplasty. Doing research now on both. Intrigued by the balloon thing as it is supposed to be less invasive.

I have no idea myself. I like my doctor but have friends telling me to get a second opinion, do research, talk to others.
