Monday Loves IV
I watched Marie Antoinette this weekend, and while I wouldn't say it was the greatest film on Earth, it was lovely to look at. The colors and the way light is used in the movie are stunning, and I was completely mesmerized.
I adore Keri Smith's blog. I find the simplicity of her work inspiring.
This tutorial over at Bella Dia has been on my "must do" list for months. I hope to sit down and actually do it in the next week or so. I'm on this home decorating kick, we've lived here for two years and just this weekend actually hung stuff on the walls. It feels so much more inviting now, and I assembled or created all of the art pieces myself, which makes me happy. The fabric panels will be hung on this odd pass through half-wall between the kitchen and the living room, and I think they will really liven up the place.
The home decorating frenzy has me searching for unique art, and I've found some prints I would love to buy. Must wait. Must pay rent. Sigh.
I heart Kathleen Lolley.
Spinach. So yummy.
This made me squee in geeky delight.
All of Laura's pattern are amazing, but I really love this one. I'd like to make it, eventually.
As everyone knows by now, I'm a huge fan of lists, which is only one of the many reasons I love this site.
I watch the Oscars primarily to see what people are wearing, and these were my favorites. How 'bout that Helen Mirren?? She's smokin' hot. I can only dream of looking that good at that age. Also? Yay for Mr. Scorsese!
Looking at all the wonderful submissions for the Softie Awards is so much fun.
All things patchwork, especially Japanese-inspired patchwork, are very appealing to me right now. I'd love to make something like this but honestly do not know where to begin. Anyone have any good resources for a complete newbie sewer/quilter??
My latest animal obsession: foxes. This may have something to do with the fox that lives in the woods behind my house. These cards crack me up and make me think of a certain someone. Hey there, Foxy Lady!
Two words: Cinnamon Dolce.
ETA: Doing some housekeeping 'round here....if you left a comment earlier and it is missing now, it wasn't intentional! Sorry. :(

You always have the best links! I find the neatest stuff when I come to your site.
My husband has a long-running obsession with foxes. He collects Asian fox mythology-->www.kitsune.org. He's neglected it lately (cursed job!) but I'm hoping he'll get back to it when we move.

I agree with you about your favorite dresses. Reese looked amazing. I loved Cate and Kate and Rachel's dress was amazing...although she needed to ditch the necklace.
Happy Monday!
